Trust me when I say this... 😊
If you're watching movies or Netflix on your laptop siting on a table or something, you're missing out on a life-changing experience! 😲
Ever since I've started watching movies while lying in bed, at night, I have found it to be a revolutionary thing really, just a life changing experience overall. 🙌
How is this has been a life changing experience for me? 🤔
Well, here are a few of the positive changes I've seen since then: 📃
And the next day, again, I tried to continue from where I left off the last day, and same, I again started to yawn and feel drowsiness and it was so boring to keep trying to watch the same thing again and again.
Yeah, I used to get nightmares when I did not have this habit of watching movies at night.

How is this has been a life changing experience for me? 🤔
Well, here are a few of the positive changes I've seen since then: 📃
- No sleeping problems. I've been able to sleep really well, better than before actually.
- It is the most comfortable position to watch movies or Netflix.
- No comfort issues even when I binge-watch a whole season for 10+ hours straight.
- I found a way to fall asleep, in some rare cases that I couldn't. (Shared in this post)
- Almost no Nightmares
These are the few of the benefits that I could remember. I will discuss these in more detail later on in the article...
But first, let me share the step-by-step process of how I have managed to get the most comfortable movie watching experience lying in bed.
Step 1 - Get a Smartphone with the Best Display
Yes, we'll be watching our movies or streaming Netflix on a Smartphone, not a Laptop.
I've seen people try to bring their laptops with them in their bed and then they ask on the Internet that what is the best and comfortable position to watch movies or Netflix or YouTube Videos on a laptop while laying down in bed?
I too did that a few times, but I quickly turned back to my smartphone!
A laptop is too heavy and too big for you to be comfortable in bed. It has to stay on a table or on your lap or something that is steady and does not move a lot. That is why a smartphone is the best way to go, if you're looking for comfort and that cosy feeling!
Don't cheap out on the smartphone! Get the best one, with the best display!
Because I have done this terrible mistake!
I got a Lenovo P2 for the specs it had, and for the price it had at the time.
It has an awful display! Even though it was advertised as "made by Samsung" but still, I find it a terrible display to watch anything on!
Being a low-quality OLED display, it darkens all the dark scenes to pitch black level where I can't even see anything, all the night scenes just look pitch-black to me. I even sometimes have to increase my display brightness to a 50% or a 100% sometimes to be able to see those details I am losing because of this cheap OLED display!
So yeah, just don't cheap out on the smartphone, or anything for that matter that I recommend.
Trust me, I speak from experience, and I don't want you to go through the same hell that I've been through, because of cheaping out on some things.
Step 2 - Get some Good Quality Wireless Earbuds
Why 'Wireless'?
Because I have used tens of headphones, earbuds and God knows what!
And I have found the Wireless Earbuds to be the best of them all, in terms of comfort as well as sound quality, apparently.
When I was trying out 'wired' headphones or earbuds of any kind, the wire would come in way and ruin the comfortable experience we all are craving for!
The wire would not let me move around freely, plus it would not let me hold the mobile the way I wanted to.
I tried Sennheiser's HD 180 headphones, and they just blocked my ears and I started to feel some pain on my ears even minutes after wearing them.
Wasn't a pleasant experience at all.
They don't sound very good too.
The build quality is kinda good, but my overall experience with them has been terrible as well.
I've also tried some other brands of headphones, and they weren't very comfortable either. But the sound was a bit better than the Sennheiser ones.
I've also tried Apple EarPods that came with 3.5mm Headphone Jack, and their sound was Decent, but they also pained my ears after an hour or so of continues use.
Finally, I came across a good pair of Wireless Earbuds, which I would like to keep secret, because I have upgraded after using those pair of earbuds, and the ones I have right now, are even better in terms of overall sound and build quality and comfort.
Right now, I am using Anker SoundBuds Curve wireless earbuds.
These sound absolutely amazing for the price, and are very comfortable. I hadn't tried anything this comfortable until I got these babies!
Also, once I started using wireless earbuds, I also got rid of that wire tangling and limiting me from comfortably holding my smartphone as well. Now I can have it wherever I want, I can hold the smartphone in two hands, in one had or however I find it comfortable, because no wire is in the way anymore.
Step 3 - Go and start watching Netflix!
Yup! You now have everything that you need to comfortably start watching movies lying in bed.
Before you go and start watching though, I'd recommend checking out an App that lets you dim your display's brightness and block those blue colors that keep you awake at night, if you do not stop looking at them, even when the day is over.
So the App that I like to use for that purpose, is called Twilight. It is a Freemium application, and I am using the Free version.

Only one thing is left now...
What's the Best Position to lie-down?
Well, while you're in bed, at night, the only position you have in mind is to lie-down, really. And no matter how you do that, you're always comfortable.
Because you're lying down in your bed, at night, and are tired of all the work you've been doing the entire day, you're feeling comfortable for that reason as well.
If you feel you need to turn over to the other side, right or left side, you can do without feeling discomfort.
Plus, no wire is in the way, as you're using a good pair of wireless earbuds, that is another one of the reasons that you're feeling comfortable.
Also, the wireless earbuds have the best and some of the softest ear-tips that I've experienced so far, so that is also one of the sources of comfort.
All these things do their part in offering you the best and the most comfortable movie watching experience you've ever had!
This method of watching movies in bed via your smartphone, and a wireless pair of earbuds, is even more comfortable in Winter season!
It is the most cosy and warm feeling I know of, watching movies in bed, while you have a Razai on you, and you're holding your smartphone and you have no worries of any wires, just freedom from everything!
Benefits of Following this Method
I'm not sure if you will feel the same positive things happening for you too, but it never hurts to try, right?
So, ever since I have started watching movies in bed, at night while lying down on my back most of the times, with the getting most cosy feeling I know of, here are some of the positive changes that I have felt in my day to day life.
No sleeping problems
I know that a very large number of people in today's world are facing some kind of sleeping disorders around the world. I was one of them as well, before I started practicing this habit of watching movies at night, while lying down in bed, on my smartphone.
I use my laptop a lot at day time, mainly for writing on this blog for you guys, and doing some other work that I do on the Internet. This is probably the reason I could not fall asleep quickly at night a few years back.
But, that changed when I started watching movies at night.
I have been able to fall asleep usually after watching one movie or a couple of episode of some TV show that I am watching at that time.
I'd say that just try it yourself, and let me know in the comments, or just email me about your experience with this method of watching movies or Netflix at night in bed. Was it comfortable and soothing for you too?
It's the most comfortable way to watch movies or Netflix
I've already mentioned it quite a few times.
In fact, in the early days, when I recently had started following this routine, I used to fall asleep without even plugging out the earbuds out of my ears. Sometimes, the smartphone kept playing the episodes and I would notice it in the morning.
This is how comfortable it is to watch movies while you're in bed, sometimes you can't resist but fall asleep, even if the movie keeps on playing, and you keep on hearing the audio.
10+ hours of binge-watching? No issues!
Yep, I've done that as well.
Occasionally, whenever I find something that I can't just stop watching, and I end up watching the whole season in 10 hours or so, even on those days I do not feel discomfort with this method.
You're lying down, what kind of discomfort would you feel?
Even if you do feel that you need to turn over, you can and it feels like you've just started watching and no tiredness.
The main credit I would give in all these long comfortable movie watching sessions, would be to our Wireless Earbuds. Because their ear-tips are so soft and comfortable that they don't hurt our ears, and we can keep watching for as long as we like, until the battery dies.
Here's a way to fall asleep when you can't!
Well, because I almost on daily basis watch a movie now, or anime or any kind of cartoon that I am into at the time. So I discover movies or TV shows that a normal person wouldn't, who does not watch movies that often.
One day, I decided to give Toy Story a shot!
I had heard a lot of good things about the series, but I had never try to watch them before. So I thought why not just get started today.
So, I did.
And when I downloaded the first movie from the Toy Story series, I started watching it...
A few minutes into the movie, and I started to yawn and feel drowsiness! 😅
After that, I could go to sleep, but I didn't, and I just skipped the movie and started watching something else.
And the next day, again, I tried to continue from where I left off the last day, and same, I again started to yawn and feel drowsiness and it was so boring to keep trying to watch the same thing again and again.
So again, I left the movie and started watching something else! 😂
This is how I discovered that when you try to watch something that is SO BORING that you can't even finish it, you start to yawn and feel drowsy and sleepy.
That is when you should just place your mobile somewhere and just go with the flow - go to sleep.
No nightmares!
Yeah, I used to get nightmares when I did not have this habit of watching movies at night.
But ever since I have started doing so, I've only dreamed about the movie or TV show that I watched that night, or was into that whole week.
So if you wanna have good and cosy dreams, I'd suggest you to watch something similar, that gives you the feeling you want in your dreams.
I almost can't remember any nightmare that I had, and when I had it for the last time.
